As I am escalating into my twenties fast and am scared that one day I will wake up with a full face of wrinkles and grey hair, I decided to purchase an eye cream to try and remain youthful.
Eyes are extremely delicate and you have to be so careful with what you choose to use on them. So when I spotted the new Tesco Vitamin E eye cream in my local supermarket I thought it sounded quite good.
Vitamin E is known for anti-aging and for it's powerful anti-oxidants. It is also fantastic for reducing the appearance of scars and nourishing your skin.
So for £1.99 this little tube looked like a great start to my quest for an eye cream that will keep my eyes free of dark circles, bags, puffiness and most importantly wrinkles!
On application, the creamy liquid felt warming, this didn't worry me to start with as I thought it must be full of such goodness that it warms your skin!
Not long after I'd dabbed (probably too much) of the cream onto my eyelids and under my eyes, I felt a stinging sensation. This sensation caused my eyes to start streaming with water and hurt so much I could barely keep my poor eyes open.
Immediately I headed to the bathroom and wiped away the cream with a clean wet flannel and splashed my eyes with water. But the pain continued for a good hour.
A day later my eyelids appeared red, sore and slightly puffy and this has lasted for two days. What a disaster! My quest for beautiful eyes has backfired and given me puffy red sore cyclops eyes.
The hunt continues..
