My love affair with coffee began and left in a whirlwind. It was love at first gulp. I had my first cup of coffee about a year ago, and for a while I drank it every morning until I decided to go caffeine free. However, that doesn’t mean that coffee completely left my world; I recently purchased 100% Pure’s Organic Coffee Bean Eye Cream, a natural eye cream that claims to wake up your under eye area because of the stimulation effect from the caffeine on your skin.
I made the purchase along with their tinted moisturizer and a lip product. Read more for my full, honest review!

Anti-inflammatory, caffeine rich green tea and coffee de-puffs and reduces swelling while increasing circulation to alleviate and brighten dark circles. Concentrated with potent anti-aging vitamins, antioxidants, and nourishing rosehip oil. Truly, 100% Pure.
Packaging: The .5 oz plastic tube is very minimalistic and very functional. I really appreciate that this product isn’t in a pot; it helps keep the cream sanitized. You can dispense the right amount of product very easily, and the cap is easy to remove and put back on. When you first receive the product, it doesn’t come in excess packaging and the tube is sealed with a nubby tip that you cut off with scissors.
Below is a photo of the 1 oz product from 100% Pure’s website, which seems even better because of the pump top and cap. I should also mention that a little bit of this product goes a long way – I use less than a pea-sized amount every day and still have a lot of product left.
Application: The product is very light, but moisturizing. As per the claims, it absorbs easily and quickly.
Wear/Performance: This keeps my under eye area moisturized all day, and doesn’t negatively affect any foundation or concealer I put on top of it.
Natural/Organic?: Yes, certified organic! Yee haw!
Cruelty Free: Yep, all 100% Pure products are Cruelty Free.
Ingredients: Organic Aloe Juice1, Organic Rose Hydrosol2, Organic Rosehip Oil3, Organic Green Coffee4, Vitamin E (tocopherol), Vitamin C (Sodium Ascorbate), Extracts of: Coffee Cherry, Rosemary, Oregano, Thyme, Goldenseal, Vanilla Absolute, Candelilla Wax
Overall Review: Absolute first impression? It’s a bit stinky! Coffee smells great at Starbucks and while you’re drinking it, but there’s a major difference between the smells of sweetened, mocha-y coffee at a coffee shop and old, plain coffee grounds. So yeah, it smells a bit like the latter.
But, don’t let the scent deter you! This is a really nice, light eye cream that’s easy to use daily because of the tube packaging (I get impatient with eye cream in pots a lot of time… so much careful scooping and dabbing). The cream isn’t greasy at all and doesn’t mess up the makeup I put on top of it.
In terms of actual changes in the skin around my eyes, I have to say it hasn’t been a miracle worker. But keep in mind: I haven’t really come across a comparable eye cream that works miracles! Creams and skincare can only help so much, but age is very persistent. Keep in mind that I don’t have deep wrinkles or creases under my eyes, nor are they extremely puffy or dark.
Overall, the product is a must-have. For $10 or $19 you get a certified organic skincare product that has amazing claims and will probably work better for you than it did for me, if you have more under eye concerns than I do.
Repurchase? I will, and absolutely recommend the product even though it’s not a miracle worker. But seriously, does anyone really have that miracle in a bottle eye cream? If they did, I think everyone would be buying it.
Have you tried this eye cream? If so, how did it work out for you? Have you tried other natural eye creams?
Jenn
